der Verein für Jugendkulturarbeit in Oldenburg hat folgendes Gesuch
übermittelt:

Gesucht wird dringend ein/e deutsche KandidatIn für ein EFD-Projekt in
Kroatien (bereits bewilligt).
Das Projekt beginnt bereits im Januar (2013) und dauert 12 Monate. Die
Freiwilligen werden zusammen wohnen und gemeinsam mit vier anderen
internationalen Freiwilligen am Projekt teilnehmen.

European Voluntary Service (EVS) project – “Active citizenship“
Project duration: 7th January 2013 – 7th January 2014 (12 months
voluntary service)
Project area: Croatia, Sisak-Moslavina County, Petrinja
Number of volunteers in the project: 5

Project Summary:
The project will be conducted in the city of Sisak-Petrinja Moslavina,
central Croatia, near the city of Zagreb.

It has two main goals:
1. With the help of multimedia, volunteers will promote volunteering and
advocate for protection of human rights;

2. EVS volunteers will organize an International volunteer camp where 10
international volunteers will organize and lead summer activities for kids
in the local community;

3. Familiarizing the local people with the opportunities they will have as
citizens of the European Union.

Five unemployed people from different countries will stay in Croatia for
12 months. Through fun tasks and socializing they will exchange knowledge
and skills, and the culture and traditions of their countries with
volunteers who work within our community.

With the help of expert volunteers they will expand their knowledge in the
field: the creation of a multimedia space, creating - shooting and editing
of audiovisual materials, creating promotional material content, and
handmade products (traditional products and puppets). Volunteers from the
project will have multiple benefits as they will acquire specific skills
and knowledge, training, mentoring and activities carried out by competent
and experienced professionals. Their competencies will be documented in
the volunteers Youthpass so that they may become more competitive in the
labour market when returning to their country.

Volunteers will bring to our community, "a breath of fresh air" that will
be good motivation for active participation of our youth in volunteer
activities. The life of international EVS volunteers will be encouraging
and indeed observed in the social life of our little town.

In addition to the above activities EVS volunteers will lead English
language and creative workshops for beginners where possible.
