    Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture de Bouxwiller

Supported by ICE-RF, the "Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture de 
Bouxwiller" wants to host volunteers. This experience will give the 
opportunity to the volunteer to get engaged in a project, to contribute 
to his/her french level, give him/her autonomy and independence, a 
maturity in her/his personal and professional life.
The "Fédération Départementale des Maisons des Jeunes et de la Culture 
du Bas-Rhin" is implementing through his network cultural and social 
animation focus on children, youth and associative life.
Open to everyone, it offers at the population the possibility to be 
aware of their capacity, their personality, to be actif and responsible 
citizens.
The "MJC" are also spaces of freedom, debats and democracy. They offer 
their inhabitants the possibilty to take part on the association life, 
in decisions and to be actors in their territory.

arrangements:
Volunteers will live in a furnished apartment, with shared kitchen and 
bathroom, each one will have his individual bedroom.
The accomodation is in the center of Bouxwiller.
Meals can be taken with the group or the team, money can also be 
provided in addition.
The city has a bus network and the structure will make arrangements to 
make moving easier.
Bouxwiller is a village with about 4000 inhabitants, located in the 
department Bas-Rhin. At about 40 kms from Strasbourg, european capital, 
it is a nice place.
Surrounded by hills, forests and plains, the region is rich of touristic 
places.

training:
The volunteer will take part at trainings organised by the National Agency.
Before the beginning of his voluntary, he has to take part on a 2 weeks 
preparation, which included french courses, administrative tasks and 
many other interesting activities. This seminar is good to meet other 
volunteers.
2 months and 8 months after the beginning the volunteer is invited to 
take part on seminars organised by ICE-RF.

Profile:
Volunteers must be really motivated for an animation work, particulary 
for a contact with Young people, even if they don't want to make such a 
job later.
They must have good relation qualities and a good personal hygiene.
Ability in music, sport, manual activities would be convenient. Driving 
licence is welcome.

additional info:
Volunteers will take part at the animation sociocultural un the MJC of 
Bouxwiller, in hosting young people and in activities during holidays.
It will consist on animation times with public such as children, pupils 
and students, on accompanying youth groups in project implementation, on 
introducing their mission to young students in aim to arouse vocations, 
on sharing their skills, their know-how...
They also take part at the host of children after class, in primary 
schools (2h/week).
