DEAR POTENTIAL PARTNERS. 

MILLENNIUM CENTER ASSOCIATION FROM ARAD IN WEST ROMANIA ANNOUNCES
RECRUITMENT CALL FOR NEW EVS PROJECT CALLED “MEETINGS WITH HISTORY”.


WE WILL APPLY WITH IT AT THE DEADLINE OF 01.02.2013. IF YOU ARE
INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATION PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE:

_Project type:_ European Voluntary Service

_Title:_ “Meetings with History”.

_Activities:_Future EVS volunteers will make interviews with elderly
people from Arad county area about important historical events in
their life. Important from the point of view of average Romanian /
European Citizen. Important for his/her life – everyday life. Basic
question to be answer is: how history influenced my life. 

_Methods:_ non formal way of education (learning by doing) and
e-learning (working in virtual space)

_Outcomes:_Future EVS volunteers will create an archive which will
contain: video, audio and written materials from interviews.

_All You need to be a volunteer is:_

·         strong motivation to spend 4-6 months in
multicultural environment of Romania 

·         good English language skills

·         basic IT knowledge

·         strong believe in non-formal way of education and
e-learning values

·         ability to work 7 hours per day, 5 days per week

This EVS project is addressed to everybody and especially to persons
with fewer opportunities.

In such cases please include relevant elements in Your motivation
letter. As hosting organization, Millennium Center has big experience
with fewer opportunity volunteer and can offer great help in personal
/ professional development.Please read indicators in the graphic
presentation of the project. 

_Achievements:_All EVS volunteers will receive YouthPass document with
detailed description of competences plus a space to achieve following
skills and abilities by non formal way of education:

·         learning new language: Romanian

·         interview skills

·         basic photo, video and audio editing skills

·         working with different software

·         getting in touch with e-learning

·         working in international team

·         using YouTube, Facebook and blogs for learning
purposes

·         effective research and creating of information in
internet

·         getting to know other cultures

We offer also many supplementary activities next to main theme of the
project including sport activities indoors and outdoors to balance the
office work. To support volunteers we offer also training cycle and
reinforced mentorship if needed.

_Place of the project:_ Arad / Romania

_Duration:_4-6 monthsmonths (starting with September/October 2013)

_Conditions:_ are determined by EVS programme. We provide food,
accommodation, training cycle and travel costs refund within Youth in
Action programme rules and budget for action 2 (at least 90% of travel
costs).
