Hello
we are looking for 2 EVS volunteer for the EVS project:

FOKUS Vysocina is a civil association that assists people with mental
health problems and physical disabilities to invigorate their independence
and self-confidence, it enables them to live their lives to the fullest
potential.FOKUS Vysocina is one of the ten associations with the same name
in the Czech Republic that have come into existence since 1990. Their aim
is to fill in the gap in after-care for people with mental health problems
and physical disabilities.

FOKUS Vysocina as an independent legal subject,
has been engaged in providing social help in this form of non-hospital
rehabilitation since 1992. FOKUS Vysocina works with these main aim groups:
people with mental disorders, people with physical disabilities,
volunteers and host organizations for volunteers (organizations that
request volunteers).
FOKUS Vysocina provides social services, sheltered
workshops and voluntary programs in four small towns: Havlickuv Brod,
Chotebor, Hlinsko and Pelhrimov.In Pelhrimov, our organization employs 13
professional social workers and provides social services for about 60
clients. We also have three sheltered workshops (ceramic, mending and
sewing workshops) where 25 people with different disabilities work. There
is also Volunteer´s Center. Among our most popular voluntary programs are
volunteering in hospitals and retirement homes and past time activities or
courses created by our volunteers for people with mental health problems.

Our volunteers’ centre coordinates about 64 volunteers who work in 15
organizations, for example: Municipal Library, Club Klicek for children
with mental disorders, Mravenec – environmental organization etc. The
volunteers come from wide age range from secondary school students to
retired fellow citizens.

The project is waiting for its nunber in the database but we will be able
to apply fo the 1st May 2012.
